Little First Act Discovery: Notes to Grow On

Wednesday, December 31, 2008 Posted by Jolly Mom

I was recently introduced to a wonderful line of toys, called Little First Act Discovery. Their mission is to instill the love of music in children starting at a young age. With the help of developmental experts, they have created musical toys for babies and toddlers that will promote developmental milestones while at the same time, introduce them to music in a fun age appropriate way.

I absolutely love the concept of Little First Act Discovery. Music is so important in the development of babies and toddlers and any toy that promotes that is really a toy worth having.

I (or I should say, Lucas) was able to try the Shake 'n' Stack Instruments. It is an adorable stacker that has a maraca and tambourine along with stacking rings. The recommended age for the toy is 6 months and up. Lucas really enjoyed playing with the tambourine and stacking the rings. I think that he may be a bit too old for this though. He is probably ready for the Little First Act Discovery toys geared for toddlers instead. They sell this Build a Drum Puzzle that I have my eye on and would love Lucas to have. However, I know that he would have really loved the Shake 'n' Stack when he was a baby and even at a year old. Below, you can see pictures of Lucas playing with the Shake 'n' Stack Instruments.
