Mom Time in '09: Be Good to the Planet with Chico Bags
Also on my list of resolutions this year is to do what I can for the health of our planet. I admit I haven’t been using reusable grocery bags. Yes, I am hanging my head in shame, but I have vowed to change that this year! I recently came across Chico Bags though and I love how convenient and affordable they are. They come in two styles: the ChicoBag Original and the ChicoBag Vita.
The Original holds 25 pounds and the Vita holds 40 pounds of groceries. The Vita is really cool because it has shoulder length straps! Both styles are designed to be stuffed into the integrated pouches. The fabric is designed in such a way that it easily and quickly stuffs into the pouch. You don’t have to fold it a special way or anything. Just stuff! When they are in the pouch, they are TINY. I mean really TINY! Both also come with a clip, which means you can hook the bags to your purse, diaper bag, belt loop, or key chain and always have one on hand. Here you can see the Vita stuffed with groceries:

Want it: Visit the ChicoBag website to purchase. You can buy the Original for $5 and the Vita for $8.
This giveaway is over. Congratulations to the winner marissa19721!

Thanks for the giveaway. I hope these bags catch on.

ChicoBag Company is nestled in the northern California town of Chico. Chico is 3 hours north east of San Francisco and home of the Wildcats, Sierra Nevada Brewing and our friends at Klean Kanteen! Chico also means small in Spanish and all ChicoBags are small enough to fit in your pocket!

Hilex, a plastic bag manufacturer claiming it's the world's largest plastic bag company, revealed it will shut down a plant in response to lower demand for plastic bags as consumers turn more to reusable bags for their groceries.
Thanks for the opportunity! This looks like the best reusable bag I have seen. The size and the fold up size is great! I think they will get some good business from your review!

The vita weighs two ounces and it 19" x 15.5" when open. I have one of the original bags, I bought it at a grocery store two years ago and it's still going strong. Reisenthal has a similar bag, but it doesn't fold into itself, and it's easy to lose the little bag it slips in.
I'd love another one!
