Mom Time in '09: Escape the Day with LUSH

This blog party is called Mom Time in ’09 for a reason-we rarely take time for ourselves and that is something we need to change. You’ve probably heard me rant about this before, but I rarely take a shower in peace anymore. When I do, I savor it and try to make it as luxurious as possible.
Recently, I came across a company called LUSH that makes fresh, handmade bath and body products unlike anything I have ever seen or tried before. By fresh, I mean they use fresh organic fruits and vegetables. Most (2/3’s) of their products are totally natural without any synthetics and they do not do any testing on animals nor do they buy any ingredients from companies that test on animals. LUSH has been around for 13 years and they strive to create effective and innovative products while keeping to their core philosophy of having the least impact on the environment. LUSH products are 100% vegetarian, 74% vegan, 65% preservative-free, and 60% free of wasteful packaging.

Don’t use these for the quick “I have to hurry and shower because my baby is in his room napping, but could wake up at any minute shower”. No, Lush bath and body products are special. I suggest you have the hubby take the kids, drop them off at the grandparents, do whatever it takes to get some YOU time. After all, this is Mom Time!
I had the opportunity to try a variety of LUSH solids. I received the Godiva Shampoo Bar, the Sex Bath Bomb, French Kiss Bubble Bar, Therapy Massage Bar, and the Jungle Solid Conditioner. The Shampoo Bar and Conditioner Bar are amazing! I have long hair that's difficult to untangle, but the Shampoo and Conditioner Bars worked wonders on my hair. My hair was silky and smooth without being weighed down.
I also LOVE the French Kiss Bubble Bar, which is loaded with lavender and French essential oils. It is the perfect way to end a hectic, stressful day and will help you sleep better. The Bath Bomb and Therapy Massage Bar are perfect for a romantic night with your husband. MOM TIME! I made a resolution to get a treadmill fixed, we'd gotten it from a friend, it needed repair. I got it fixed, and I now do 1 mile a day. That's a lot for me, but I'm getting so that it isn't as tough. It's actually energizing.
