I try to save time by doing things at night right before bed because I hate hectic, chaotic mornings! I am so NOT a morning person so the last thing that I need is everything being out of order in the morning. The night before we always try to:
1. Set the coffee pot.
2. Check my weekly menu and take out whatever needs to be defrosted for dinner the next night.
3. We make sure there aren't any dirty dishes in the sink. Load and start the dishwasher.
4. Throw a load of laundry in the washer before Lucas gets his bath. Throw the load into the dryer after he goes to bed. Fold while watching our shows.

Other Tips:
1. We keep a bag of Lucas' stuff in the car. It has the grocery cart cover, extra clothes, wipes, diapers, some toys, books, etc. This way we don't have to load a bunch of stuff if we're going to someone elses house. We don't have to worry about taking toys or any extra stuff. It's as easy as grabbing my diaper bag and walking out the door. Well...not really...I mean I still have a stubborn toddler, but I don't have any tips for that-LOL.
2. CROCK POT!! If you don't have one, you should get one. They are really awesome. Just throw a bunch of stuff in there in the morning and dinner is waiting for you in the evening!
3. Organize! I admit I am not the best at this, but the hubby is so I benefit from it-LOL.

Here's a Crock Pot recipe that is a favorite at my home!

Crock Pot Chicken & Dumplings

Ingredients:
1 tray boneless, skinless chicken thighs
2 cans cream of chicken soup

1 small onion coarsely grated

1-2 cups peas or broccoli

1 can biscuits

salt and pepper to taste

Directions: 1. Pour soup into crockpot and using can from soup, add 2 cans of water to pot and stir soup and water. 2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Add chicken into crock pot and add onions. Flip chicken in crockpot to coat with soup mixture. 3. Set crock pot to low and cook for 5 hours. 4. When done, remove chicken from crockpot and shred. Put back into crockpot and add vegetables. Stir. 5. Place biscuits over chicken mixture. 6. Turn crockpot to high and cook 30 more minutes.
