I am really excited to introduce you guys to two fabulous ladies today, Dana and Sarah of BabyLuxe {daily}. If you haven't yet visited BabyLuxe {daily}, you are so missing out. It's an awesome blog that features the best of the best mom, baby, and children's products out there plus some great giveaways as well. Dana and Sarah are amazing career women who are passionate about blogging and have just launched their very own public relations boutique as well! They are both inspiring to me as a mom blogger and as a woman. Their passion, dedication, hard work, and success give me hope that one day I too will be able to take my experience as a blogger to the next level.


1. Tell us about BabyLuxe {daily} and what your blog is about.
BabyLuxe {daily} is an editorial blog featuring the “luxe” things in life for mama, baby, and child. Along with our editors Erin and Lisa, we LOVE introducing our readers to everything practical, stylish, and modern about being a parent or growing up as a child. The best part is the fabulous giveaways and generous discounts we get to offer our readers from the fabulous companies we work with. {FYI, we have an end of March Spring Baby Shower giveaway coming up with over 40 prizes separated into 3 prize packs. This is our biggest one yet!}

2. Tell us a little bit about each of you and your families.
Dana (pictured right) is a wife and mother to three young boys {NOT trying for that girl! : )} living only a few miles from Sarah, wife and mother to 2 young boys {IS trying for that girl! : )}. Our families are as close as relatives, our boys are best friends and we love watching them grow up together {as are our husbands…they are also “still” growing up together}.

3. Why did you ladies start BabyLuxe {daily}?
Sarah sat down one day back in early 2007 and decided to “blog” about what she loved the most, baby stuff, and see what all the fuss was about; she shortly became hooked of course and soon after Dana joined her. It’s a time consuming lifestyle for sure, you can understand being in the same line of “work”, but it’s so rewarding being able to help others grow their businesses and their dreams!

4. Tell us about your new venture: D'luxe press & design?
Did I mention how exciting this is for us??? D’luxe Press & Design is a public relations boutique providing marketing services to companies offering luxury for mama, baby, and child. Extending off of everything we’ve done at BabyLuxe {daily}, this is the utmost perfect field for Sarah and I to be in. We have a passion for what we do and for the products we promote so hopefully this makes us stand out in this market! Our rates are completely customizable as there is no limit to the services we are trying to provide for our clients; as each company is unique, each owner has his/her own goals and we want to make sure we can do whatever possible to make them happy.

5. What prompted you to make the leap from being bloggers to starting your very own public relations boutique?
With blogging we were limited in our promoting of the amazing products and talented designers we came in contact with. In the PR field, the possibilities for marketing are endless! With the contacts we have made over the years and the experience we’ve collected {and with our education backgrounds in marketing and business}, it actually looked like the perfect next step. We tested our new services {as a freebie} on friends and clients we had worked with for sometime now, everything went smoothly, so on February 15th we officially launched D’luxe Press & Design!

6. It is really inspiring for mom bloggers like myself and others to see you take your experience as a mom blogger to the next level and make a career out of it in the public relations field so I have to ask-how did you do it? Can you offer any advice or words of encouragement to mom bloggers who also want to use their blogging experience towards a career?
Just take one day and do it! That’s what we did. We did not say goodbye to our day jobs {as of yet} nor did we sink a lot of money into it, just time and energy. But, it’s what we love and where we see ourselves in the years to come so we made the leap, but not sacrificing ourselves, our families, or are careers in the process. It’s something we plan on building on and growing slowly; especially with today’s economy, making an ultimate career change all at once is just not practical, it’s actually scary. We have supportive husbands too, that’s the biggest plus of all!

7. So, you're both great moms and have careers outside of BabyLuxe {daily} and D'luxe press & design ...all of us are dying to know...how do you balance your time and more importantly how do you find the time for everything?
Ha, there’s lots of drinking and Mexican food involved in our sanity! Heehee, no, we work together as a team {along with Erin and Lisa who help out tremendously with BabyLuxe {daily} leaving us more time for D’luxe, our regular careers, and our families}. Sarah (pictured right) and I have several monthly “meetings/play dates” where we organize for the month ahead and brainstorm {since there’s always something new going on in our heads and we have to talk each other down from the high of starting yet another adventure…}. We prioritize, #1 is family of course and the rest gets done throughout the day as needed. It works, we make it work, and we’re there to lend each other support daily. Without each other, it wouldn’t be possible. Our goals: leave the office jobs someday to focus more on what we love, our families and everything involved with BabyLuxe and D’luxe!

8. What's one product that each of you can't live without? What's one of your favorite baby or children's products?
I, Dana, can not live without this thing in front of my face right now…my laptop. It’s my lifeline, it’s my money marker, and it’s my talent! Babywise, now you know that is the hardest thing in the world to ask of us…outside of BabyLuxe my favorite thing for babies is the hand-made blankies! All of my boys had one {from their great-grandma} and it’s something they love and will always treasure. From BabyLuxe, every single diaper bag we have ever featured! {All us BabyLuxe ladies have a weakness for bags, any bag, diaper bags the most though!}

Sarah: is it dorky to say that I LOVE my Honda Odyssey?? Just can’t image life with children without it! My favorite baby product has and always will be my Hotsling. {Slings and all things “baby-wearing” are yet another weakness over at BabyLuxe}
