Better for Babies: Organic Training Pants for Potty Training Toddlers

Tuesday, April 21, 2009 Posted by Jolly Mom

I've been reading a lot about whether or not to use disposable training pants. Many experts advise parents not to use them because children cannot tell they are wet so they don't learn as quickly. My gut is telling me that if I want Lucas to be potty trained quicker that it might be better to forgo the disposables at least during the day and only use them at night. A couple of months ago, I ran across an awesome company called Better for Babies that offers a full line up of natural products for the entire family including their very own Little Beetle diaper line. For potty training toddlers, Better for Babies also carries organic training pants!

Better for Babies sent me the Little Beetle Learners Training Pants to review. These training pants are so stinkin' cute and so unbelievably soft! Really, the fabric is one of the softest I have ever felt! They are made of two layers of fair trade organic velour cotton with a THIRD layer tucked into the "wet zone". These are really designed for small accidents and not full blown potty messes. Here's what I love about them though. They have the snaps on the side so if your child DOES have a bad accident; they are very easy to pull off without making even more of a mess. Kind of like a diaper. However, they are also designed for children to be able to pull them up and down so they can feel in control as well. They are also not bulky and did I mention...they are so cute!

Better for Babies has SO MANY awesome products for the eco-conscious mom! They carry everything from organic baby slings, carriers, bath and body products, clothing, and much more. Love them!

Want It: The Little Beetle Learners can be purchased online at Better for Babies and retail for $16.95.

Those are cute... but not waterproof? So bigger accidents will soak right through to clothes? If I'm going to spring for reusable training pants (vs. just underwear), I'd prefer not to have to wash outerwear as well.

AntsyPants look like the perfect solution to me:
