Spring Bash! Sun Protection for Kids: One Step Ahead Review and Giveaway!

The FTC says the following about UPF ratings for sun protective clothing:There are three categories of UPF protection:
- A UPF between 15 and 24 provides "Good UV Protection;"
- A UPF between 25 and 39 provides "Very Good UV Protection;" and
- A UPF between 40 and 50 provides "Excellent UV Protection."
The first thing I want to say is that all of the clothing that we received from the Sun Smarties apparel line is incredibly soft and durable. I've washed all of the items many times already and they are still as good as new. The Sun Smarties t-shirts are actually stain-resistant as well, which makes these tees awesome and a very smart buy! Not to mention that they are so adorable with their contrasting trim, cute appliques and embroidered details. They come in many different styles for both girls and boys and are easily mixed and matched with the rest of the Sun Smarties clothing. The shorts have an elasticized waist and are 100% cotton. They are soft, comfortable, and very cute! Both the Terry Romper and Hoodie Cover Up are so practical! We took them on vacation with us this past month and they were awesome at the pool! Both are easy to put on and kept Lucas cool while we were at the pool. They are airy, breathable, and comfortable! Best of all, all four of these items provide UPF 50+! I love that I put these on Lucas and the areas that are covered by the clothing are protected from the sun so that I can relax!
The next Sun Smarties product that we received is the Sun Smarties Peek n Play Ball Pit. It is so cool! Not only does Lucas have a blast playing in it, but it also has some pretty cool features. First, since it is from the Sun Smarties collection; it has the UPF 50+ making it a perfect outdoor toy. Also, the ball pit has screened sides and two roll up windows. The screened sides and windows provide air circulation keeping the interior cool and airy. You can also roll down the windows and keep bugs out! A must here in Georgia where we get so many mosquitoes! Here's another cool feature-you can actually use this on the beach or at the pool as a cabana for your kids! It provides a shady spot for your kids to hang out in and the UPF 50+ blocks the sun's rays! The ball pit is very easy to set up. It comes with two poles that you insert into the sides and it just pops up. It also comes with ground stakes so that it won't blow away in the wind. It folds down very small and flat and comes with a little carrying case (picture top left) perfect for travel or easy storage. 100 balls are included with the ball pit as well. Super cool product!
The final product that we received is the Soft Seat Baby Pool. It is not from the Sun Smarties line, but it does offer excellent sun protection. This pool is perfect for babies ages 6 months and up due to its soft, air cushioned floor. It has an adjustable canopy that you can move wherever the sun is ensuring that your baby is shaded from the sun! This pool can ALSO double as a ball pit (balls are not included)! The best thing about this pool is its durablility. Ruggedly constructed, with dual rings and safety valves; this pool will last and last!

The Tuck Me in Travel Bed would come in soooo handy when the grandkids visit!!!! THat inbetween stage when you're afraid they'll fall out of a regular bed, yet they're too big for a pack n play. Gotta find me one!
