Back when Lucas was crawling, he would always get red, irritated legs and knees. I'm pretty sure that this is just a fact of life for all little crawlers. You can try things like padded pants, but they are expensive. Leg warmers are an option too, but they aren't padded and can also be hot in the summer. We weren't able to use either because we have hardwood floors so Lucas would have slipped all over the place. I received the Sea Turtle Print Baby Knee Pads and I wish that I had them when Lucas was crawling! First of all, they are so adorable! They are made with a soft, stretchable cotton that is comfy and feels good against a baby's skin. The fabric is also very lightweight, which is great for the warmer months and doesn't add a lot of bulk if worn over pants. The actual pads though are thick enough to cushion and protect little baby knees as they crawl. There aren't any straps to mess with and they are easy to put on and take off. The Sea Turtle Knee Pads also have silicone traction that will keep your little one from slipping and sliding on hard surface floors.
