I suffer from terrible hormonal acne. It's very bad and very embarrassing. Honestly, as much as I long to only use all natural products, when it comes to my problem skin; I search for results first, natural second. I just haven't had great results with all natural skincare. So, when Skin Free contacted me about reviewing their 100% NATURAL skincare line that promised real results, I was hopeful, but a bit skeptical. Skin Free generously sent me three products for me to review. I received the Corrective Face Nectar, Niaouli Scrub for Blemish Prone Skin, and the Green Clay Mask for Blemish Prone Skin.
About the Products (from the website):
Corrective Face Nectar: A special blend of incredible healing oils including Squalane, Tamanu, Sweet Almond, Carrot Seed, Evening Primrose, and Virgin Olive. Niaouli Scrub for Blemish Prone Skin: Most facial scrubs found on the market today are made of artificial chemical gels. We took our Skin Free Sweet and Smooth Sugar Scrub concept and added our wonderful new all natural Skin Free Extra Moisturizing Liquid Soap, some very fine cosmetic grade pumice, and our favorite antibacterial essential oil, Niaouli, to make a powerful and effective scrub for blemish prone skin.
Green Clay Mask for Blemish Prone Skin: This versatile product can be used occasionally as a complete mask to clean out pores on any area of your body that has breakouts. It is enriched with Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and hypoallergenic Macadamia Nut oil and our favorite Organic Niaouli essential oil to balance your skin’s moisture cycle and help prevent bacterial growth. I have been using all three products for three weeks now and Skin Free has not only impressed me, but also shown me that natural skincare has come a long way.
The Green Clay Mask (pictured right) is AWESOME and totally exceeded my expectations. It gets deep into your pores and you can actually feel it working! One thing that I love about this mask is that it is easy to put on. It's not goopy or sticky. Instead it is very smooth and velvety. The Corrective Face Nectar is like a little magic potion for your face! I was a little concerned about putting this on because it is made from various oils so I was afraid that it would just break me out even further. Quite the opposite actually. This Nectar has improved my skin tone and clears up any redness or discoloration. I put it on at night, and I can see the difference the next morning when I wake up! Awesome product!The Niaouli Scrub (pictured below) is truly an amazing product that gets DEEP into your pores. This is my favorite of the three! It is very different from any other scrub that I've used. I usually prefer scrubs that have large exfoliating particles because it seems to do a better job in removing old skin. However, this scrub has super fine pumice and it exfoliates my skin just as well as any other exfoliator BUT it has an added bonus. It gets INTO my pores! Estheticians will tell you that the only way to remove blackheads is with extractions, but truly I think the Niaouli Scrub is clearing my pores. I use it every day and it is an excellent product that I will continue to buy!
One thing I do want to point out is that these three products have a very unique scent. The Niaouli Scrub and Green Clay Mask smell a little bit like Tea Tree essential oil. However, all three have a medicinal or herbal smell as well. This DOES NOT bother me at all because like I said before, all I care about are results! Since I know that some people are picky about scents; I thought it was important to let you know. Of course, the scents are NATURAL-these are the NATURAL scents of the ingredients and not fragrances. However, I also want you to know that my skin looks awesome right now and I have to give Skin Free the credit because it's all I've been using for weeks. My skin is softer, clearer, and more radiant!
