Indoor and Outdoor Fun for Kids of All Ages! PlayDoh Spaghetti Factory & Super Soaker Review & Giveaway
As sad as it makes me to think of Lucas growing up, it is also very exciting. The little guy is almost two now and it's so much fun getting to do things with him that he couldn't do before. He loves art projects like coloring, anything with stickers, and PlayDoh. I mean, he may not be a pro (yet), but you know, he "gets it" now. We pull out the PlayDoh and he knows what it's for. He pounds it, molds it, and has even started to roll it out. So, when HASBRO gave me the opportunity to review the PlayDoh Spaghetti Factory (pictured below), I knew that he would love it!

The PlayDoh Spaghetti Factory Playset comes with more than 25 half-molds, a playmat, fork and spoon accessories and 4 three-ounce cans of PlayDoh. This is a really fun playset and BOTH Lucas and I have a blast every time we play with it. Makes sense that Lucas would love it because this combines two of his favorite things: cooking and playdoh!

Basically, this is a pasta maker for playdoh. It has two pasta attachments that make "spaghetti" and also double as plates or bowls. The "pasta" maker and bowls also have half-molds all around the base that kids can use to make different types of pasta like ravioli and other goodies like veggies and meatballs. A plus for parents is that the pasta maker is very easy to clean. The entire thing comes apart in seconds so that you can get all the playdoh bits out. The Spaghetti Factory gets a huge thumbs up from me because any toy that inspires creativity and keeps my toddler son engaged for an HOUR (or more!) at a time is a toy worth having! At only $9.99, the PlayDoh Spaghetti Factory is also very affordable. We LOVE it so much that we went out and bought him the PlayDoh Magic Swirl Ice Cream Shoppe (which is also AWESOME)!
Another thing that Lucas LOVES to do is to spend time outdoors. This is the first Summer that he is really getting to play outside and truly enjoy the outdoors. One of his favorite things to do outside is play with water-he loves the hose and a spray bottle! The truth is that you can't talk about summer outdoor fun without thinking about the Super Soaker. It's a classic water toy and even though Lucas is still too young for one-mommy and daddy are definitely not too old! The Super Soaker just had a birthday actually-they celebrated 20 years since the orginial Super Soaker made its debut in 1989! To commemorate their awesome milestone, HASBRO re-released the original Super Soaker 50! HASBRO generously sent us a Super Soaker 50 to review. I actually also won a Super Soaker Quick Blast at a Twitter party for TimeToPlayMag.com that HASBRO sponsored several weeks ago so I am going to tell you about both.
The Super Soaker Quick Blast is awesome because it holds A LOT of water-it can hold up to 1 liter! This Super Soaker basically shoots out blasts of water with just one pump and inflicts some serious water damage. This one is my hubby's favorite. He likes to chase me around and torture me-lol. I prefer the Super Soaker 50, which is the classic standby and sprays water a little further than the Quick Blast (read: I can stand further away and torture my hubby without him being able to spray me). This is as close to the orginal as you can get. The colorful Super Soaker 50 holds up to 25 ounces of water and blasts up to 35 feet! All three of us-well four of us if you include our dog, Aries-have a BLAST outside with these. Lucas gets a spray bottle or the hose and mommy and daddy each get a Super Soaker. We run around, laugh, spray each other, cool off, and most of all make memories that will last a lifetime. Super Soakers really can't be beat in quality either-they are built really well and last a long time. These are an absolute must for Summer fun!
Want It: The Super Soaker Quick Blast retails for $14.99 at HasbroToyShop.com and the Super Soaker 50 retails for $19.36 at Amazon.com.

This is not any entry but a question: Is it wrong to buy other children Play-Doh? I love playing with Play-Doh with my daughter but I've noticed when I give it to other children I get eyeball rolling and guttural sighs from their parents. Have I broken some unwritten rule? Don't all parents let their kids play with Play-Doh like I do? Put a plastic tablecloth down on the floor, people, and chill out already :)

Yeah... umm... I feel like a mini Hasbro warehouse here with the toys they make and my DH's obsession with some of them LOL So no doubt he'd be all over the Cobra Trooper Packs. He's eagerly awaiting the GI Joe movie. ;)
I think the little one needs the Busy Lil Garden Butterfly too - that looks adorable! :)
