Wordless Wednesday: How Does It Happen So Fast?

Wednesday, June 17, 2009 Posted by Jolly Mom

Lucas watching Toy Story. His favorite movie...ever. I know, I know...I swore up and down when I was pregnant with him that I wouldn't let him watch ANY TV, etc. I'll lament over that at another time. Right now, all I can think about is how did the time go by so fast? One day he's in my belly and now he's laying on the floor like a little man watching a movie. How did that happen?

Cute pictures, tv keeps me sane, although I do feel guilty about it too.

There is nothing wrong with a little TV! My little one loves Mickey Mouse.

He just started getting into Toy Story. We watched it Sunday!

Nothin' wrong with TV. He is so cute. I am not a Mom, but I have three nieces. They are now 20, 13, and 7. I swear just yesterday my 20 year-old niece was 7. Time does fly.

Happy WW from Sara @ the Mostly Wordless Wednesday H.Q.!

That's one of my son's favorites, too--and I swore I wouldn't let him watch movies till he was 20!! LoL!

By the way, I love the yellow print chair! Gorgeous!!!

My son just got Toy Story and loves it. I used to say a lot of things that suddenly changed after the reality of parenting and life really set in. LOL I limit the television time but I'm not nearly as strict about it as I'd like to be.

And yes, time goes by way too fast! I wish my kids would slow down just a little bit so I can take it all in.

Toy Story is one of my boys favorites! Just wait until they start repeating what they hear from the movies. A little shocking hearing your little one say moron and stupid idiot! Still trying to get those out of their vocabulary :)

It happens to the best of us. Some times I plan my chores around how long a movie is: Peter Pan- 75 minutes.

The TV won't kill too many brain cells. I promise! ;-)

    Happy! WW!

We have all said it one time or another. But sometimes, you just need a break and that's when you see that! It goes so fast!

What a cutie though! I hear you on the TV thing, I swore that when I was pregnant too, then it starts, just a little Baby Einstein and now we're on to Sponge Bob.
    Happy Wednesday!

Seriously! It makes me so sad to think about. Yesterday Matthew looked at Graham and said..."Stop it please." And we both looked at him like.. huh??? And he said, "Stop growing up!"

But, I guess it is also a good sign. I hope you have a wonderful day!

It goes so fast doesn't it. In the blink of an eye you go from having a baby to a kid to highschool graduation.

He is adorable!! I know I said the same thing years ago before I had my son. That went out the window pretty quick.

    Too cute and too true!

I know exactly what you mean. They grow up way too quickly. I remember holding my oldest as a newborn. She was so tiny. Her head just fit in the palm of my hand and her little toes barely reached my elbow. Now she has a black belt in karate and is starting seventh grade in the fall. It happened way too quickly.

What a sweetie! I know what you mean about tv.... We didn't have one when my oldest was little...really didn't have one until about 10 years ago, I think. My son watched the Lion King when he was about 18 mos and his lower lip trembled as the tears flowed when the daddy lion died.

It happened b/c you had to get something done :) For us dd1 loves tv, dd2 not so much so I have to entertain her A LOT, and I am hoping that dd3 likes it a little bit b/c seriously how else do you load a dishwasher or change laundry? I love your captures :) Happy WW!

I'm guessing you must have blinked and next time you look, they have turned from babies into little people. My little boy is turning three next month and I can't tell you how wrong that seems.
