FLOR Modular Area Rugs Review & Giveaway!

The flooring in my home is mostly hardwood floors so area rugs are a must for us. However, even homes with carpet can benefit from the warmth and beauty that an area rug can add to a space. Not to mention that they function to delineate spaces and provide a visual flow to a room. Whenever I am decorating a room, I always get an area rug and Lucas' big boy room is no exception! That's why I turned to FLOR--a company founded on the idea that carpet could be fun, stylish, practical and responsible.About FLOR {from the website}:

FLOR sent Lucas the Sea Grass Stripe Rug Kit (5x7) in Brook/Moon (pictured above and below) colors for me to review. The Sea Grass Stripe Rug arranges broad bands of Velvet Twist tiles in natural, understated tones, creating a versatile accent that is clean and sophisticated. The colors are peaceful and calming--very zen like--just like a bedroom should be. Plus, it goes beautifully with the colors in Lucas' room! The rug itself is thin, but I am just using it to delineate an area--depending on the use, you may want to use a pad underneath. We did not use all of the tiles because we needed a smaller rug as you can see below.
The cool {and very innovative} thing about FLOR rugs though is that they come in tiles or 19.7-inch (50cm) squares. The rug kits allow you to create any design you want really. Installing them is a breeze! There's no glue or nails to mess with--you use FLORdots--non-toxic adhesives that connect the tiles to one another and not to your floors! We literally had Lucas' rug put together within 10-15 minutes! What's really convenient about the modular tiles is that you can custom size for any space and also an added caveat is that if the rug gets dirty--you just lift that one area to clean! If the stain can't be removed then you only have to replace that section! In a kid's room, that is priceless. Ingenious.

Ahhh...if I only knew how I was going to decorate my new master bedroom! But, I don't, so I'd def. pick the Leaf Flora rug kit for my kiddo's room. It's the perfect blend of colors and shapes. Love it.
