OK, so the past week has felt like a whirlwind. A couple of weeks ago I got an invitation from Sears Corporation to attend their inaugural Home Design Summit--honestly, my jaw dropped to the floor when I read the email. Total shock and disbelief, but I am also honored that they want me there! That's where I will be on Tuesday and Wednesday--all the way in Chicago at the Summit! I am also excited because several brands that I already LOVE will be there--like Ty Pennington Style, Kenmore, and Country Living! Others will be there too, but those three I am very familiar with and LOVE! Here's how much I love Country Living:


Those are just a FEW of the magazines that I have collected over the years. It doesn't include the ones at my moms {she steals them from me} or the many that Mike has made me throw away! Or, the rest of my stash that I didn't feel like lugging out! I LOVE Country Living--they are the inspiration for the way that I decorate my own home. I can't wait to learn about the others and see what Sears Corp. has in store for us! I will be live tweeting and blogging from the event. I hope that you guys will join me! I am a bit nervous, but very excited! OK, so maybe I am VERY NERVOUS-lol.

I am also excited because I finally get to meet Felicia from Go Graham Go who will also be at the Home Design Summit! We have become great friends through blogging and it is awesome to finally be able to meet--although honestly it feels like I've known her for years and years {LOL}! Not to mention all of the other wonderful bloggers who will be there-I can't wait!

Another piece of exciting news is that I am getting the opportunity to test out a brand new cell phone, called the HTC Snap. I haven't tried it out yet, but it may be delivered today, which would be great to debut in Chicago! Even though I haven't received it yet, I am so impressed with the company already. They actually told me to blog about the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to reviewing the phone. You guys always get that here, but it was still impressive to hear a company request that. They said that they will take the feedback to improve their phones in the future. Very refreshing to hear. Not only am I happy that I get to try it out, but one of you will WIN one as well, which makes me ECSTATIC! You'll be hearing about my experience with the HTC Snap over the next two weeks and after that, you will get a chance to win too!
