Make Something Monday: Lucas' New Big Boy Room!

Monday, July 13, 2009 Posted by Jolly Mom

We spent ALL DAY on Saturday setting up Lucas' new big boy bedroom! The whole thing is so surreal. I cannot believe that Lucas is not sleeping in his crib anymore. He is doing great too! No problems at all so far {knock on wood}. The room itself is not finished. There's still some furniture missing and I would like to get some more decor items--maybe some cowboy hats to hang on the wall.

I know the feeling--I finally took down my youngests' crib/toddler bed earlier this year and it was hard! Love the cowboy theme--especially those stars!

Piera! It turned out beautiful! I love it! I want t know where you found the book shelf? I've been wanting one like that (toddler friendly) for Graham, but I don't want to spend a fortune on it. Matthew says he can make it, but it would be more expensive to make it out of real wood then buy it from that fake wood. Anyway.. suggestions please!

Oh how adorable! We just spruced up my son's room and put him in a toddler bed. It's amazing how fast they grow!
    Thanks for sharing the pictures.

His new room is adorable. I am transitioning my two year old right now. It is sad but exciting.

Have you thought of a few, old cowboy hats on the wall or some horseshoes. Even an old pair of boots on a shelf or something would be adorable if you need more for the walls. Although it looks great as is.

Love it--I'm partial to the fence shelves. Did you make them or buy them?

What an awesome job! It's great that the "big" stuff is neutral so you can easily change the decor when he's older (if he wants). I really like the pictures of cars on the walls - that's what I'm planning on doing with my boys' room too!

That is very cute. My daughter would probably like it since her room is horse themed.
