One thing that Lucas has really gotten into lately is music. He dances and jumps to the music and he has also started to sing songs. Actually, kids in general just love music! The SweetPea Toy Co. sent Lucas an mp3 player for me to review and it is one of the coolest items I have reviewed to date! It is everything a parent would want in an mp3 player for their child and more.

One of the bigest concerns parents have in letting their kids use mp3 players or anything with headphones is hearing damage. However, the SweetPea3 MP3 Player has a built-in speaker so there is no worry about hearing damage, but kids can also use headphones when necessary. It also has only three buttons and is very easy to control. Lucas quickly figured it out and is able to easily navigate the playlist and find the song he wants to hear. One of the best things about the SweetPea3 is that it does have parental controls! For example, only the parent can turn up (or down) the volume and set how long you want the mp3 player to play for. The SweetPea3 is also extremely rugged--the exterior is made from food-grade rubber that is virtually indestructable. It will stand up to the abuse that kids undoubtedly will put it through!



What's great about the SweetPea3 MP3 Player is that kids can also use it to listen to audio books, which Lucas LOVES! Putting music and audio books on the SweetPea3 is very easy. It actually comes preloaded with many children's songs and stories, but when you're ready to add more just plug in the included USB. A window will pop up on your computer and you can see all of the songs on the mp3 player. After that, just drag the new songs and drop them into the SweetPea3 window. Just drag and drop. Easy peasy.

The SweetPea3 MP3 Player is truly awesome! It's great for traveling--airplanes, long road trips or just down the street. Lucas takes it EVERYWHERE! Another great use is for the middle of the night. Kids can listen to music or their stories. It provides entertainment and comfort!
