Natural Remedies for Children: Mommy's ER DVD Review & Giveaway
I am a huge proponent in treating illnesses as naturally as possible. At home, we do our best to ensure that Lucas has a healthy immune system so that he can fight off illnesses on his own without needing a bunch of medicine. It's all a learning process for me though. I wasn't like this until Lucas was born and I realized that I can't just put his health in the hands of others. I, too, have to take responsibility and do what I can to keep him strong and healthy. There's so much to learn though and it can feel very overwhelming. So, when I was approached to review Mommy's ER's 3-part instructional DVD set that teaches parents safe, simple, at-home methods to treat common children's ailments naturally, I was thrilled!

Mommy's ER was started by Jennifer Crain, a practicing acupuncturist who specializes in treating a variety of children’s health conditions through acupressure, Japanese-style acupuncture and nutritional healing. She is also the founder and owner of the Goji Seed Eastern health clinic in Austin, Texas. Jennifer sent me the DVD set for me to review and truly it is a must-have for every parent! You'll learn a lot about acupuncture and Jennifer actually shows you how to locate the pressure points. Having this information on a DVD is so much easier than a book! The DVD set is split up into three parts:
DVD 1 - Acute Conditions
You’ll learn about what to do when your child gets ill suddenly, with conditions such as:
Learn about recurring conditions and how to treat them.
The third DVD is entirely devoted to keeping your child healthy and illness-free, even as they go back to school, daycare, children’s museums or playgrounds.
Want It: Mommy's ER DVD's can be ordered individually for $19.95 or as a 3 part DVD set for $39.95.

I learned that you can brew a cup of herbal tea to calm a tired yet wired child. Chamomile is really one of nature’s treasures as far as I am concerned.

Seriously, "Her father’s family included renowned pediatricians and physicians; her mother’s family relied heavily on home remedies from their cultural tradition, such as ‘polteadas’ and the soups and teas that had been handed down for generations."
