CitiBlocs Wooden Building Blocks: Construction for Builders of All Ages

When you walk down a toy aisle, pretty much everything that you see needs batteries. Toys these days are not like they used to be. They leave nothing to the imagination--one of the most important things that children need to develop. That's why I really value toys that allow kids to be creative and think for themselves. Building blocks, in particular, are wonderful toys that are all about the imagination and highly educational. To an adult, a block may be a piece of wood, but to a child--that piece of wood represents a house, a car, a magical castle--whatever they can dream up. I was recently introduced to a wonderful line of building blocks called CitiBlocs and I am so excited to tell you about them!

About CitiBlocs {from the website}:
CitiBlocs are High Quality Building Blocks unlike any other! Crafted from Grade A New Zealand Radiata Pine, each block is engineered and precision cut for new generations of building fun from age old proportions. Citiblocs distinctive design enables Building without Borders – no complicated instructions and no missing pieces. Guaranteed success and pleasure for creative construction, innovation and design.

CitiBlocs sent Lucas their 54 piece red and blue set {pictured above} for me to review. Lucas loves these blocks--his favorite thing to do with them is stack them over and over! Right now, he is a little young, but eventually he will be able to build just about anything with his CitiBlocs. Their secret is that each piece is exactly the same shape and size allowing the blocks to balance perfectly. Gravity holds everything together!
CitiBlocs are just flat out cool--kids and adults will love to build with them! They are safe, non-toxic, and affordable. Best of all, they allow kids to be kids and help develop their reasoning and problem solving skills. We aren't the only ones that love them--CitiBlocs received the Dr. Toy Award & Mr. Dad Seal of Approval and they were just honored with the IPMA 2009 Outstanding Products Award and an Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award!
Want It: CitiBlocs are available in various sets starting at $14.99 and can be purchased at GlammaTOYS.
This contest is closed. Congratulations to the winner, Cindy!

When checking out the Gallery on their site, I was amazed at all the things that can be built with Citiblocs especially since it doesn't require using glue, snaps or connectors to keep it together. Would love to win the natural set for my son!
