Text-a-Thon for a Cause: Help Support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF)

Monday, September 21, 2009 Posted by Piera Jolly

September is the mark of something very important to all women--Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Ovarian Cancer affects thousands of women each year and more awareness needs to be centered around this disease. With awareness comes earlier detection and hopefully a cure. All that equals more lives saved. Electrolux and Kelly Ripa will once again lend their support to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) to help find a cure with a really cool promotion and they need your help!

To help raise money for research, the OCRF needs donations. You can help by donating $5 to the cause by texting “KELLY” to 85944 from your mobile phones (standard text messaging rates apply) – or by logging on to www.kelly-confidential.com. They will also be giving away a luxury frontload washer and dryer from Electrolux in Turquoise Sky, the color of ovarian cancer awareness! Each day you log on to the web site, you will be entered for a chance to win! Plus, MomCentral.com will also be giving a washer and dryer away! That's two ways to win!

Electrolux will also donate $200 to OCRF for every Turquoise Sky washer and dryer pair purchased. Another way to help is by buying limited edition t-shirts designed by Kelly Ripa herself. Electrolux will donate 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the tees to the cause! Or, send a Virtual Tshirt to a friend and Electrolux will donate $1 to the OCRF for every shirt sent! That's a very easy and fun way to help!

*I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Electrolux and received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate.*
