Thomas the Tank Engine is coming to save the day! Thomas, the beloved and courageous storybook engine, has rolled into SAM Shortline Train at GA Veterans State Park location. The Day Out With Thomas™ 2009: The Hero of the Rails Tour is presented by HIT Entertainment, a worldwide leader in children’s entertainment, and sponsored by The LEGO Group. This fun-filled event offers preschoolers and their families the opportunity to take a ride with a 15-ton replica of Thomas the Tank Engine, star of the popular Thomas & Friends™ series. Children will ride along with their favorite hero on his latest adventure.

I've never been to Day Out With Thomas, but I've heard about it before and it looks like a ton of fun and I'm sure that kids must flip out at seeing Thomas and getting to ride the train! Cordele, GA is about 2 hours from Atlanta so this would make a great little day trip for families living in the Metro area.
