ERGOBaby Introduces a New and Improved Infant Insert: The Heart2Heart

If you have followed my blog for a while, you know that I am a babywearer--well, at least I was before Lucas turned into a heavy 30 pound toddler {lol}. My favorite carrier--by far--is the ERGO. It is the most comfortable that I have tried to date. You can read my full review of the ERGO HERE if you would like. Unfortunately, I had to go through a couple bad baby carriers before I found the ERGO so I never got the chance to use it when Lucas was a newborn baby. I can honestly say that I cannot wait to try it with my next baby. Even Mike {my hubby} is excited.

When using the ERGObaby Carrier with an infant, you need to use their infant insert so that the baby is properly supported. The Infant Insert has a versatile design that, when used properly, accommodates infants soon after birth to the time when they are developed enough to use just the carrier. ERGObaby is always trying to improve upon their design and a couple of weeks ago, they unveiled a brand new and improved infant insert for their carrier called the Heart2Heart.

After further research and feedback from mothers, ERGObaby undertook a redesign of the Infant Insert to make it as easy as possible for parents to position their babies correctly in the ERGObaby Carrier with the Infant Insert. The new Infant Insert Heart2Heart {pictured right} has built-in support and structure to ensure the baby is in the natural carrying position that has been used in cultures all over the world for millennia. This position also takes into account the research of experts who have studied the physical development of the infant from birth.

ERGObaby sent me the new Heart2Heart Infant Insert to test out. It comes in four colors and can be machine washed and tumble dried low. I love that it's made from 100% Cotton fabric and 100% Cotton filling {also comes in organic cotton}. What I really love about it is how well it supports newborn babies. I used it with a friend's newborn and it literally hugs the baby all around--including the baby's head and neck. The secret is the padding and cushion that ERGObaby has strategically placed in specific parts of the insert. It really is a huge difference from their original insert as you can see from the comparison below. {Heart2Heart on left, Original on right}

Want It: The Heart2Heart Infant Insert can be purchased online and starts at $25.

    I would love to have an Ergo for my next baby. My toddler is getting too heavy to wear too. I like the changes they made to this insert.
