Back when I was a kid, I loved to tie-dye, color, glitter-IZE, puffy paint-IZE, and otherwise embellish everything but the kitchen sink! Not only was it cool to make my clothing unique, but the actual process was a lot of fun! Aren't all young girls like this? The truth is that I still love to create and be unique and most girls--young and old--that I know are the same. The latest embellishing craze to hit the shelves is the
Style Six Silk Screener! Young fashion designers and tween fashion mavens will squeal with delight when they hear about the Style Six Silk Screener by Jakks Pacific! The Style Six Silk Screener allows kids step out of the box and take their personal style to the next level by adding color and patterns to their clothing.

Jakks Pacific sent me the Style Six Silk Screener to test out and review. Designed for kids ages eight and older, the Style Six kit includes two silk screeners {one small, one large} with clamshells that lock into place over garments, four different colors of paint, and eight modern graphic stencils. Also included is a roller tray, masking board, sponge roller, small sponge blotter, separator, and supply tray. What surprised me the most is actually how easy and mess-free it is to do. Under supervision, I think even younger kids could do this. All you do is place the garment in the frame and lock it into place. Then, choose a stencil and place it right on top of the garment where you would like the image to appear. Roll the paint on and let dry. Easy peasy!
The Style Six Silk Screener would make an AMAZING gift for a young girl this holiday season! You can even buy add ons to the set--everything from
Felting Machines and
Airbrushers to
Gem Decorators and
Foil Applicators. Pretty cool if I do say so myself!

Want It: The
Style Six Silk Screener retails for $25 at Amazon.com and at

What a great idea. I love it and it's much cheaper than the Digital Finger Nail Printer I saw for my tweenie daughter.
