Feliz Navidad! Celebrate the Holidays with Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure DVD {Review & Giveaway}
Lucas and I are loving all the children's DVDs that are coming out for the holidays! Seeing his favorite characters celebrate the holiday season has really helped Lucas learn a little more about this special time of year. One of his most beloved children's characters--Dora the Explorer--is also celebrating Navidad in her new dvd: Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure!

Synopsis: This holiday season, children everywhere are invited to join Dora and Swiper as they explore the past, present and future of Christmas in the all-new Nickelodeon direct-to-DVD feature-length adventure Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure. Along with this brand new holiday retelling, the DVD contains six minutes of bonus footage not airing in the TV special and two exclusive music videos.When Swiper tries to swipe the Christmas Star from Dora’s Nochebuena Party, he lands on Santa’s naughty list. To get back on the nice list, Dora must help Swiper travel to the past, the present, and the future to discover the true spirit of Christmas. Will you help too? Filled with original songs and exclusive extra scenes, this all-new Christmas special, exclusive to DVD, will become a holiday favorite for the whole family!
Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure is a sweet DVD that teaches kids valuable lessons like what the true meaning of Christmas really is and that it is always better to give than to receive. Dora fans will just LOVE this DVD!

Want It: Dora’s Christmas Carol Adventure is available for purchase at Amazon.com and retails for $12.99.

Our Advent Calendar is our favorite tradition. Besides finding a little treat behind the door, each day we do a holiday activity, like making popcorn garland or baking cookies with grandma. My girls love it and look forward to it each day. It makes the holidays more meaningful and memorable.

We still get together every year to put up her tree together, and still have many of those same ornaments from when I was a little girl :)

My favorite tradition is going to my moms house for Christmas Eve after church, and all the adults open their gifts that night.

One of our holiday traditions is to exchange Christmas ornaments on Christmas Eve. All of our kids get new ornaments that would be meaningful to them. Usually the ornaments represent something that happened to them during the year. For instance, my son started learning to play the saxophone this year so his ornament will be saxophone or music related. My oldest daughter's marching band did an Aerosmith show this year so hers will be related to that. The intention is that when the kids have homes of their own, they will have a whole box full of ornaments to decorate their tree and hopefully a lot of happy memories. Mom and Dad get ornaments too because when the kids are grown and take their ornaments our tree is going to be awfully bare! LOL.

Our newest tradition is going to be staying home on Christmas day! We usually go to family, but everyone is staying home and we're going to see Alvin and The Chipmunks, so every year we will go see a new movie! The kids are SO excited!

We exchange gifts with our grandparents on Christmas Eve at their house, and we always have open faced sloppy joes with muenster cheese. I guess MaMa started doing it because it's an easy meal for a large crowd, but it has become a tradition I wouldn't want to leave out. :-)
Thanks for the chance to win the Dora DVD.

Our family buys any kind of generic gift under $20. Then on Xmas eve we pick a number out of a hat and get to choose (in numerical order of course), what gift we want out of all the ones in the pile. Thanks for the chance for this giveaway!
