Mickey Mouse's Magic Choo Choo Train {Review}
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E. Meeska. Mooska. Mickey! Mouse! What child doesn't love Mickey Mouse? Mickey is a constant in the lives of children. We all--adults included--love him! Lucas has become a huge fan of Playhouse Disney and he just loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Recently, Disney aired a brand new special--Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Choo Choo Express and launched a new train-inspired toy called, Mickey Mouse's Magic Choo Choo Train Set.

Lucas recently had the opportunity to try out Mickey's Magic Choo Choo and it has been a huge hit around here! The train set comes with 10 pieces of track, 1 car, 2 signs, a crossing gate and a Mickey figure. Just like any train--you put together the tracks and place the train on the track. Switch to "mode 2". Push the button on top of the train car and the train goes around the track. As the train moves, it makes all types of sound effects and Mickey talks and sings.

What's really different about this train set though is that it also lays its own tracks just like in the special--Choo Choo Express! Yes, I know. I thought it was unbelievable too LOL. Basically, the train has two straight track pieces that are magnetized. You place the train cars on top of these two tracks {connect the tracks first}, switch to "magic mode or mode 1", press the button, and the train will begin to move forward. As it moves forward, it picks up the track in front of it and lays it behind. And so on. The magic is, of course, the magnets in the track and under the train car. Shhhhh. Don't tell your kids this though ; )
Now, I will say Mickey's Magic Choo Choo is not without any kinks. I did find that the train does not always seamlessly lay its own tracks. I tried it on three different types of flooring--a thin area rug, berber carpet, and hardwood floors. I found that the train performed the best on the berber carpet and the worst on hardwood floors--maybe the hardwood floors are too slippery? Not really sure, but it's something to keep in mind when buying. However, both Lucas and my niece really love playing with Mickey's Magic Choo Choo Train and I think that most fans of Mickey Mouse will love it too!

Want It: Mickey Mouse's Magic Choo Choo Train Set retails between $30 and $40 {depending on whether you can find a sale} and can be purchased at major toy retailers across the country. You can get it at Toys R Us for $39.99 right now.

How cool! I actually haven't seen this yet. I have been trying to come up with more ideas for my 18 month old. I'm going to have to look into this one.
Thanks! :)

This is adorable! I would love to get this for my grandson. I think the "magicigal" way that it moves is incredible.
