Children Can Have Fun While Learning Important Skills with Educational Games from Carson Dellosa Publishing!
Now that Lucas is getting a bit older, I find myself searching for toddler and preschool board games that we can play together. Truth is that they are pretty hard to find. Recently, I was introduced to Carson Dellosa Publishing games and they have an impressive selection of educational games for kids, including toddlers and preschoolers!
I was sent the following games to review: Colors & Shapes Robot Race 2 Big Games, Counting Quest 2 Big Games, and Where Do I Live?.
Colors & Shapes Robot Race and Counting Quest are part of the new CenterSOLUTIONS™ 2 Big Games lineup of games.

These games are really convenient since the directions are printed directly on the game boards. Plus, the game boards are laminated making them extremely durable and easy to clean {a must for kids!}. The other thing that I love about both of the games is that the boards are HUGE {39” x 27”} making them very engaging. Parents will love that they fold down really small though! Also, the game boards are double-sided giving kids two games in one! Both games teach kids important preschool concepts like counting, colors, and shapes all while they are having a great time playing their game. LOVE IT! Each game offers two different levels of game play for 2-4 players and includes 45 game cards, one spinner, and four playing pieces. $24.99 MSRP
Next up is Where Do I Love? for players ages 4 and up.

Where Do I Live? is actually a 2009 Parents’ Choice Award winner and a Creative Child Preferred Choice Award winner! Lucas LOVES this game and has learned so much from it! Basically, there are 24 cards--12 animals and the 12 animal homes. Kids have to match the animal with the appropriate home. For example, match the bird card with the nest card. Where Do I Live? strengthens visual distinction, classification, and recollection skills. No reading is required to play the games, making them perfect for ESL (English as a Second Language) and ELL (English Language Learner) children. The cards are really durable--thick, large, and glossy--no flimsy pieces in this game! 2 to 4 players. $14.99 MSRP

Carson Dellosa Publishing offers all sorts of games for kids of all ages though so make sure to check them out! Of course with the holidays in full swing, one of these educational {but fun} board games would make an excellent gift for any child.
