Ultimate Party Meatballs Recipe and More Recipe Ideas From Heinz and Ocean Spray!

Tuesday, December 15, 2009 Posted by Jolly Mom

Recently, Mom Central contacted me about helping them spread the word about a great pairing: Heinz and Ocean Spray. The two well known and beloved companies have teamed up to create a tasty and EASY holiday appetizer recipe--Ultimate Party Meatballs. I enthusiastically agreed to spread the word because I have tried this recipe many times before now and LOVE it. They are a party favorite around my house and I can guarantee that anyone that tries it will love it and demand the recipe. The best part? The recipe takes only two steps and three ingredients. You can even make these in a slow cooker for even more convenience!

Here's how to make them:

Ultimate Party Meatballs Recipe
Ingredients
* 1 14-ounce can Ocean Spray® Jellied Cranberry Sauce
* 1 12-ounce bottle Heinz® Chili Sauce
* 1 2-pound bag frozen, pre-cooked, cocktail-size meatballs

Directions
Combine sauces in a large saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring until smooth. Add meatballs. Cover and cook for 15 minutes or until meatballs are heated through, stirring occasionally.

Makes 30 appetizer servings.

Slow cooker Preparation: Place meatballs in a slow cooker. Combine sauces and pour over meatballs. Cover and cook 4 hours on HIGH.

Heinz and Ocean Spray have also created a fun Ultimate Party Meatballs website filled with additional recipes and tips for entertaining that you should check out!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Heinz and Ocean Spray and received the ingredients necessary to facilitate my review. In addition, Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.

    Thanks for sharing! I've always used Honey BBQ sauce and grape jelly, which is good, but this will be a good change. Happy holidays!

    I LOVE these meatballs... they are so great for a party, and I just bring the whole crockpot to keep them hot during the party keeping the setting on warm, and take out just a small bowl-full at a time with toothpicks on the side. EVERYBODY loves them. But I tell them it's an old family recipe that I have to cook all day long. I have even made them with turkey meatballs (Bill has to watch his beef intake) and they still taste great!!
    Enjoy your holiday parties, everyone... Merry Christmas!
