There’s a new product that’s recently hit the beauty scene that’s been all the rage. I’m talking about a really innovative beauty product called the SPINLASH™. SPINLASH™ is a battery powered, motorized mascara wand that gently rotates 360° and can be used on both your upper and lower lashes. It is advertised as the first mascara to line, coat, and curl your lashes. It promises to eliminate clumps and give your lashes twice the volume. SPINLASH™ comes with mascara, but you can also use your own brand, which is great for those of us who are loyal to a brand. The mascara brush is made of rubber, which makes it really easy to clean in between applications.

I have very thin, stick straight lashes and I eyelash curlers don't do a thing for my lashes so I was definitely intrigued by SPINLASH™ and excited to give it a try. After trying it, I am a total fan! It's amazing how it curled my lashes and made them thicker! Here's my before and after (sorry, if the pictures are a bit scary-LOL). It may not seem like much to you ladies blessed with great lashes, but for me this is a HUGE difference. SPINLASH™ really thickened my lashes and most of all, it curled them!

The only downside is that the batteries are not replaceable. However, you shouldn’t keep mascara for more than 3 months anyway and that's how long the batteries should last you. One of my resolutions for the New Year is to dress better. I’m a work at home mom so the truth is that I usually end up in sweats most days. I mean, it’s not realistic for me to dress in business attire around my house, but that doesn’t mean I should look frumpy either! The one thing I want the most in the clothes I wear is comfort. That is something I will not negotiate. So, my focus this year will be to purchase only clothes that are comfortable and look great. Hard to accomplish, huh?

It’s actually very easy if you know where to shop, which is why I can’t rave enough about Layers Clothing! I am SO happy that I found out about them! I was given the opportunity to try a couple of pieces from their clothing line. I received the Glenda hoodie and the Evelyn dress. The hoodie is so soft and comfortable that you will never want to take it off. What I love about it is the band detail along the bust line and neck, which makes it dressier than just a hoodie.

The Evelyn dress is what I really want to RAVE about though. I normally do not wear dresses. I usually feel self-conscious in dresses and most do not flatter my body type. I kid you not, the instant that this dress was on, I felt great about myself! The fit is outstanding and what it does for your body can’t be put into words. Not to mention that the dress is so unbelievably soft and comfortable. The fabric is just the right weight and hides any imperfections. It is my favorite dress that I have ever owned and I truly and honestly mean that!

Layers Clothing is also extremely affordable! Most of their dresses are priced below $70 and right now they are having a HUGE sale! Almost everything is 50% off! However, don’t mistake affordability with poor quality. Layers Clothing is high quality women's apparel that is exquisitely designed with both comfort and the female body in mind. You know, as women we sacrifice so much in the name of beauty and fashion. From being plucked and waxed to our underwear hanging out so that we can follow the latest fashion trend. I don’t know about you, but I’m not particularly fond of my underwear (or worse) hanging out of my pants! The truth is that wardrobe malfunctions are a routine occurrence in a woman’s life and they are a total pain in my visible panty line hiney!

Fortunately for us, Jennifer Higgins, a mother or 2 and founder of Miss Oops®, has developed a line of beauty and fashion problem solvers that will make getting dressed much easier in 2009. The Rescue Sponges are a MUST-HAVE for removing deodorant marks from your clothes. I always get a wet towel or washcloth to remove the mark, but of course, that leaves a wet spot. The Rescue Sponge is used dry so your clothes don’t get wet and they easily remove any marks.

Pedicure in a Bottle has truly become my Holy Grail foot lotion. It is a rich lotion that serves several purposes. It exfoliates and moisturizes at the same time. Since the lotion uses glycolic and salicylic acid to exfoliate rather than beads, there is no need to rinse it off. It also has a combination of shea butter, peppermint, menthol, and lavender that feels heavenly on tired feet! It takes a few of days to see the effects, but it works beautifully. After a few uses, I could noticeably see and feel my feet getting smoother and softer!

Boob Tubes are basically a bandeau style top that you use when your shirt is too revealing. I love shirts with a deep v neckline, but at the same time I’m not into showing a lot of cleavage. I usually wear a camisole underneath, but it can add bulk that I certainly do not need! Boob Tubes are great because they give you the coverage that you need without adding an extra layer.

How many times have you used a regular hand bag or purse since giving birth to your kids? Let me just say that I think I can count on one hand how many times I have used one of my beautiful purses and totes since Lucas was born. My number one resolution for 2009 is to manage my life, my days, and my time better. I am not a Palm Pilot type of person though (the hubby totally is!).
