If you follow my blog, you probably from previous posts know that I have adult acne. Yes, I know. Gross. I'm not sure what happened, but around August of last year the acne actually got worse. I purchased Proactiv {which is a great product that has worked for me in the past} and other acne remedies and nothing helped. My skin looked so bad that I cried many times over it. Many times. It has been horrible. When the opportunity to review the Clarisonic Classic came up, I was so hopeful that it would improve my skin--even if only a little bit. Anything was better than what I had been going through. Not only did the Clarisonic live up to my hopes, but it surpassed them by miles. The Clarisonic Classic is without question one of my favorite products that I own. Period. I will never be without it.

Clarisonic sent me the Classic model to try out and review. Using it is so easy. Before the first use, you set it in the charger for 24 hours. After that, you are ready to use the system. To wash your face, remove the unit from the charger, take the cap off, put face wash either on your damp skin or directly onto the Clarisonic brush, press the start button, and begin to cleanse your face. The Clarisonic will run for 60 seconds. You start at your forehead. Move to your cheeks and then the nose and chin. The Clarisonic beeps at you every time you should change areas so literally--it is a no brainer. You can also increase the length of cleaning if you want. One note: it is important to not press down on the Clarisonic while cleaning your skin. It is more effective to gently move the Clarisonic on your skin because it allows the sonic frequency to work correctly. The entire unit is also waterproof so you can take it in the shower without a problem. I do dry the Clarisonic before putting it back on the charger though.

I started using the Clarisonic about a month ago and the results have been AMAZING. From the first use, I could feel that my skin was truly CLEAN. No residue. Just truly clean skin and pores. The incredible thing is that even using it twice a day, the Clarisonic did not dry my skin out. Instead, my skin is smooth from the daily exfoliation. Now, here's the best part--my face has totally cleared up. Totally. I haven't had a blemish in two weeks. I can't remember the last time I could say that.
