Get Sexy, Trendy Curls with the Conair You Curl {Giveaway}

I have long, straight hair and for years...I dreamed of having curly hair instead. I tried curlers, every type of curling iron, and more...even a hair crimper LOL. I could never quite get the look that I wanted. Free flowing, soft curls. Waves, really. Curlers gave me too tight curls. Curling irons left the dreaded clamp mark and still didn't give me the soft waves that I wanted. All of them were too much work with little results. That's why I was very intrigued by the new You Curl Curling Iron by Conair.
The You Curl is very different from any curling iron I have ever used before. It actually doesn't have a clamp at all and the barrel is cone-shaped. Both the clamp-free design and shape of the barrel are designed to produce softer curls. Not the more structured curls that traditional curling irons produce. The lack of a clamp, of course means--no more kinks or clamp marks!
The You Curl is very easy to use--all you do is wrap your hair around the barrel, hold for a few seconds and then release the hair. The fact that there's no clamp actually makes the curling process much faster. My hair would always get caught on the clamp so it is very nice to not have to deal with that anymore! The conical shape of the barrel is pretty ingenious too. First of all, the shape allows you to get in closer to your head or the hair root. It also gives hair more volume through the middle (large portion of the barrel) and the bottom will have a tighter curl (small section of the barrel). The result are sexy and loose curls! If you like tighter curls though, you can achieve them as well with the You Curl. Just adjust how much and how tightly you wrap your hair around the barrel--use smaller sections of hair for tighter curls.
The You Curl also uses a ceramic heater and features Tourmaline Ceramic™ technology which provides more protection, reduces frizz, helps eliminate static and does not have damaging hot spots. The ultra-high heat levels are instantly restored during use, and the 5 LED settings provide the ideal temperatures for all hair types. The stay-cool safety tip protects fingers during use. One thing I was impressed with is that it heats up FAST...within 30 seconds, which is ideal for busy mornings.
