Teach Kids About Their Bodies & Healthy Living with the Organ Wise Guys {Giveaway}
Lucas is about to turn three years old and I'm having to explain more and more things to him. Some things are hard to explain to a child. Like for instance--how do you explain the body's internal organs to a child? They can't see their heart or their brain or their kidneys so it can be very difficult to teach kids about them. That's why as parents, it's important to have the right teaching tools. Things that help children visualize what they are learning. That's why I am thrilled to introduce you guys to the Organ Wise Guys! They are the creators of healthy lifestyle education materials and programs for children ages 3-12 as well as adult/parent programming.
About the Program {from the website}:
The Organ Wise Guys Comprehensive School Program (OWG CSP) is a multi-media, dynamic, interactive, cross-curricular program that uses fun characters based on the organs of the body (such as Hardy Heart; Peri Stolic, the large intestine; and Sir Rebrum, the brain), coupled with high energy activities, to teach children how to make positive health, nutrition, and physical activity choices.
Beyond simply teaching children about nutrition, proper exercise and other beneficial practices, their purpose is to instill a healthy habit mindset early on which they continue to build on throughout life. These habits include:
* Maintaining a low fat diet
* Consuming high fiber foods
* Drinking plenty of water
* Performing regular physical activity
The Organ Wise Guys sent us their Summer Fun Kit, which is a great kit focused on getting kids off the couch and living a healthy lifestyle by going outside, eating healthy, and drinking water. The Summer Fun Kit includes:
Buy It: The Summer Fun Kit retails for $57.75 and can be purchased online.

I learned the main purpose is to teach kids about how to take care of their bodies and keep healthy by exercising.
I must say as well this is so cool, as a kid I loved learning about the human body and now my 4 year old daughter is starting to become interested in it as well. Having organ toys is cute, I may be weird LOL but I love it. Anything fun AND educational is tops with me.
