Save the Date: Despicable Me Out In Theaters July 9th!
I am really looking forward to the movie, Despicable Me, which will be out in theaters this Summer on July 9th! If you've never heard of it, check out the trailer--it looks adorable...
Starring: Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Will Arnett, Kristen Wiig, Danny McBride, Miranda Cosgrove, Jack McBrayer, Mindy Kaling, Jemaine Clement and Julie Andrews
Synopsis: In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences with flowering rose bushes, sits a black house with a dead lawn. Unbeknownst to the neighbors, hidden deep beneath this home is a vast secret hideout. Surrounded by an army of tireless, little yellow minions, we discover Gru (Steve Carell), planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He is going to steal the moon (Yes, the moon!) in Universal’s new 3-D CGI feature, Despicable Me.
Gru delights in all things wicked. Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way. Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad.
One of the world’s greatest super-villains has just met his greatest challenge: three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes.
To find out more about the movie and for fun games, visit the Despicable Me website and follow them on Facebook too!

Frigidaire Pro Series Dishwasher: A Spot for Everything! {#FrigidaireMoms}
I know I've been raving about how quiet my new Frigidaire Dishwasher is, but there are so many other things to rave about! One of my favorite new Frigidaire Parts is the silverware basket. It is HUGE. It is the largest silverware basket among leading brands and will fit over 180 items. That's a lot of silverware. It's perfect for large families and families who entertain a lot {like I do}.
What I really love about it though is that it will fit and contain small items like sippy cup parts without a problem. No more sippy cup tops and straws falling into the bottom of the dishwasher!
The dishwasher also features what Frigidaire calls their SpaceWise Organization System. Basically, this means that there is a spot for all of your dishes. It even has an Adjustable Upper Dish Rack, which allows you to adjust the to rack to fit taller items--great for bulky, serving pieces or cookware.
This picture shows one of the two levers on either side of the top rack that you press to lower and raise the upper rack. I will make sure to include it in an upcoming video so that you guys can see exactly how easy it is to do.
Like all dishwashers however, you do have to take extra care that you are loading it correctly. We made the mistake of loading taller dishes and lids to our pots and pans on the lefthand side of the lower rack--closest to the door. Those taller dishes were preventing the detergent receptacle from opening correctly. The result: detergent on our plates. Once we figured out what we were doing wrong; it has been smooth sailing ever since. So far, it's going great!

I wrote this review while participating in a Test Drive Campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Frigidaire and received a Frigidaire Dishwasher to facilitate my review. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and not influenced in any way by anyone. Please refer to this site's Terms of Use for more information.

Toddler Easter Craft Idea: Make a Paper Plate Bunny Rabbit
Last week Lucas and I made a paper plate bunny rabbit and he loved it! He was literally beaming with pride while he was making it and after he had finished his masterpiece. It was fun and easy to do!
What you will need:
Paper plate
White glue
Paint brush for toddlers to use to spread the glue. It's easier for young kids than squeezing it from the tube.
Felt, cardstock, or construction paper for the bunny ears
Pom poms, large googly eyes, buttons, or whatever you have on hand for the eyes and nose
Cotton balls
Pipe cleaners for the whiskers
Stapler {used to staple the ears onto the plate}

We're at Great Wolf Lodge for the #GWLWaterSlideathon!
Yesterday was such a busy and fun day! Thanks to Great Wolf Lodge, we are back at the Lodge at their Concord, North Carolina location for the Slideathon. Great Wolf Lodge {at various locations} is attempting to break the record for the most distance traveled on a water slide in 24 hours.
There are some other bloggers here too, which I can't wait to meet!

Our day yesterday started super early--up at 5 am to begin our 4 hour drive. Our first stop was Carowinds for Media Day. We were invited for the launch of the brand new roller coaster--The Intimidator and Planet Snoopy--a section of the park made for preschooler and young kids. I was very impressed by Carowinds in general. The park itself is jam packed with fun rides--for everyone--from preschoolers to the biggest of thrill seekers! We heard from several great speakers, including the Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina--Andre Bauer and Dale Earnhardt's son, Kerry Earnhardt.
There was live music, a lovely lunch, and best of all--beautiful, sunny weather. Carowinds opened a few rides at Planet Snoopy for the media and their families to enjoy. To say that Lucas had fun would be a big understatement! Here is the kiddo on one of the rides. He kept saying, "More!" LOL.
And, he met The Peanuts gang. This was a highlight for him--especially meeting Snoopy!
So were the race cars...
The center of attention was The Intimidator though. This roller coaster is the TALLEST, LONGEST, FASTEST roller coaster in the Southeast! I'll admit--I didn't ride it. I was too chicken to ride by myself since either Mike or I had to stay with Lucas. Mike, however--was not afraid. He rode The Intimidator twice. He was literally beaming when he got off of it LOL. According to him, The Intimidator is without a doubt "the BEST roller coaster" he has ever been on!
We arrived at Great Wolf Lodge around 2 PM and our room was ready early! The room by the way--a family suite--is fabulous with high ceilings, a living area, separate sleeping area with two Queen beds, a bathroom with an awesome shower, a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, microwave, sink, and coffee maker. We were so happy that our room was ready early because we were totally wiped out and ready for a nap. That's exactly what we did until about 5 PM. Then, it was time to hit the water park! Lucas even rode two of the big kid slides. The child is fearless. I, however, almost had a heart attack LOL. I didn't get any pictures of him on the big water slides because I was too nervous for that--maybe I'll get some today though. Here are some from the toddler area though:
After dinner in the room, we went to the Clock Tower Show at 9 PM {there are earlier shows too}...
...and then had ice cream and went to the arcade. Can you tell Mike was really into it? LOL
We were up way past Lucas' bedtime {he didn't fall asleep until after 11 PM!}, but it was so much fun! Today, has been another great day so far! Honestly, Great Wolf Lodge is the best family style resort I have ever been to in my entire life. I've said it before, but besides the fact that there is so much to do, so many memories to make, and it's just pure FUN--the thing that impresses me the most about Great Wolf Lodge is how NICE all the staff members are. It's not because I am here as a blogger either. The staff have no idea that I am here for a "review" or for a "blogger event". I am just another guest when we are in the halls, the water park, in the lobby, etc. And, everyone is so nice. Everyone smiles and says hello and asks how you are doing. The other thing that's surprising is that even though there are hundreds of kids running around being...well....kids...is that you still feel relaxed while you are here. Everyone is just happy. I love this place. Thank you Great Wolf Lodge for inviting my family back!

Thank you to Great Wolf Lodge for providing a two night complimentary stay for my family and I at the Lodge {Concord, NC location}. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and not influenced in any way by anyone. Please refer to this site's Terms of Use for more information.
Last night--they unofficially broke that record! Go Great Wolf Lodge!
There are some other bloggers here too, which I can't wait to meet!

Our day yesterday started super early--up at 5 am to begin our 4 hour drive. Our first stop was Carowinds for Media Day. We were invited for the launch of the brand new roller coaster--The Intimidator and Planet Snoopy--a section of the park made for preschooler and young kids. I was very impressed by Carowinds in general. The park itself is jam packed with fun rides--for everyone--from preschoolers to the biggest of thrill seekers! Looking for a Low-Sugar, Low-Calorie Juice? Try Healthy Balance. {Coupon}
I've never been much of a juice drinker. To me, it's empty calories and a bunch of sugar. Not really healthy unless you make your own. That's why I was very excited when I was introduced to Old Orchard's Healthy Balance juices. These are low-sugar and low-calorie. Since they are sweetened with Splenda rather than sugar, Healthy Balance juices actually have 75% less sugar, carbs, and calories than traditional juice cocktails! Pretty impressive.
Old Orchard was kind enough to send me a bottle of the Pomegranate Blueberry Acai juice to taste and review. I gotta say that it was very good. Even Mike--who is not a fan of anything that says "low-sugar"--really enjoyed it. That's saying something LOL. Plus, we were blown away that it only has 29 calories and 6 carbs per 8-oz glass!
Healthy Balance is obviously a great choice for anyone that is watching their weight and/or sugar intake--especially diabetics! Additionally, Healthy Balance is the basis for a 4-year partnership with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, with each bottle of Healthy Balance carrying the JDRF logo. Purchasing Healthy Balance helps to ensure a minimum donation of $650,000 to JDRF and diabetes research!
Healthy Balance juices are available in vast amount of flavors! These are the ones currently available:
* Apple
* Apple Cranberry
* Apple Kiwi Strawberry
* Apple Raspberry
* Cranberry
