Homemade Bubble Solution

Tuesday, June 28, 2011 Posted by Jolly Mom

It's officially Summer, which means it's bubble making season! OK, so around here...it's bubble making season year round actually. Bubbles are always fun and they always keep Lucas and his cousins {that's his cousin, Blanca in the pic below} entertained for hours on end. Oh, even our dog, Aries, loves to try to eat the bubbles LOL. One thing I can't stand is going to pull out the bubble toys only to find out we have run out of bubble solution. I can't tell you how many times this happens to us! That's why I make my own homemade bubble solution. It's easy to make with a few simple ingredients everyone has in their home.

Homemade Bubble Solution

11 Cups Water
4 Cups Anti-bacterial Dish Soap
1 Cup Light Corn Syrup
Gallon Jug

Directions: Add the ingredients to the jug. Secure lid and shake to mix. Let sit overnight before first use.

The syrup makes a big difference? I don't have it at home but I would like a new recipe for strong bubbles. We LOVE bubbles! :-)

Why is the corn syrup necessary? I'm afraid that it might attract ants! Pls advise!
