Blueberry Muffins & Jam Muffins Made Using Cereal {Recipe}
Last year, I hosted a breakfast for my local friends sponsored by Kellogg's. I baked several items using Kellogg cereals and they were all a huge hit. We all especially loved the muffins--the All Bran Blueberry Muffins and the Bran Jam Muffins. They were delicious! Not too sweet. Moist. Really, really tasty. Everyone at the party asked for the recipes and I totally meant to share them with you too. So...here they are...albeit a little bit late. Enjoy!
Blueberry Lover's Muffins Original
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Servings: 12
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/3 cup sugar
3 1/2 cups Ready-To-Eat Cereal All-Bran® Complete® Wheat Flakes
1 3/4 cups fat-free milk
2 egg whites
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries unthawed
Directions
1. Stir together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar. Set aside.
2. Measure KELLOGG'S COMPLETE Wheat Flakes cereal and milk into large mixing
bowl. Stir to combine. Let stand 2 minutes or until cereal is softened. Add egg
whites and oil. Beat well. Add flour mixture, stirring only until combined.
Gently stir in blueberries. Spoon batter evenly into twelve 2 1/2-inch
muffin-pan cups coated with cooking spray.
3. Bake at 400° F about 23 minutes or until light golden brown. Serve warm.

1/2 cup strawberry jam
Directions

Family Fun for the Wii! Family Game Night 3 by HASBRO
Mike and I have become quite addicted to the Wii games that are based on classic board games. We recently reviewed Monopoly for the Wii, which was very cool, and now we got to check out something even better. Family Game Night 3 brings five great classic board games together into one awesome video game for the Wii. Mr. Potato Head guides you through the Family Game Night 3 theme park to play The Game of Life, Clue, Mouse Trap, Twister, and Yahtzee Hands Down. I am always searching anything that we can do together as a family so I really love this video game. And, honestly with game boards having become sort of a lost form of family entertainment it’s really cool to see these favorite classic brought to life on a video game.
The games have been slightly altered to work in a video game format and are fully interactive. Your Miis can be fully integrated and each game has a separate section in the theme park island. These are so fun! Mike and I were playing for over 3 hours the first time we played. My favorite board game is actually Life. It’s so cool to see the Life board and even the spinner brought to life as your Mii moves through it getting married, having kids, and on and on.
Mike’s favorite game is Clue. The game brings the mansion to life with a modern twist. Naturally Mike was not happy when I won {doing happy dance LOL}.
Twister and Yahtzee Hands Down are also a lot of fun. However, Mouse Trap may be the coolest simply because you are the mouse. You get to see the whole Mouse Trap game board laid out on front of you for you to work your way through.
I highly recommend checking out this game. It brings the most beloved games from our childhood to life and allows you to share them with your own kids. Oh, and if you find that you're unable to pry yourself away from this game, don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Whimsical. Magical. North American Bear Co. {Review & Giveaway}
I was recently introduced to the most magical toy company called North American Bear Co. It's a shame that I'd never heard of them before because their toys are incredible! The company was actually started almost 30 years ago in the 1970's by new mom and entrepreneur, Barbara Isenberg. Her vision for North American Bear Co. was to create unique, high quality teddy bears and plush toys that would be have the nostalgic charm of an antique toy and the whimsy of a modern toy--appealing to kids and adults alike. Sure enough, their bears are adorable...
However, North American Bear Co. sells more than just bears. Like this adorable line of monsters...designed by kids for kids. Best of all, a portion of My Own Monster sales is donated to Global Action for Children.
North American Bear Co. sent us the Superhero Secret Pocket Cape, which has become one of Lucas' favorite things!
The cape itself is impeccably made. It is made with satin and has a velcro closure, which is great because Lucas can put it on and take it off himself. What's unique about the cape are the four pockets on the inside. Kids can use them to keep their favorite toys or little trinkets. It also has a clear vinyl pocket on the back to display an emblem such as "Superman", "Spiderman" or some other insignia. Your child can even draw their own and put it in the pocket. Very, very cute! The cape also comes in Princess and Magician.
If you have a little ballerina at home, you have to check out the Ballerina Knapsack by North American Bear Co.!
It is a soft ballerina doll that has a zipper on her back. You unzip it and pull out a pink satin backpack. It is just precious! I gave it to my 3 year old niece who literally squealed with delight when she opened it. She takes ballet class so this was the perfect gift for her. She now uses it to go to her ballet class and keeps her tutu and leotard inside of it. When she's not using it as a backpack, she plays with her doll. Adorable!

NEW Crocs for Spring and Summer!
Mike, Lucas, and I are all huge Crocs fans. We all own several pairs...three pairs that I've received to review, but most of them we've purchased ourselves...
They are beyond comfortable. Beyond. And, nowadays Crocs are also fashionable. Stylish. Comfortable. What more could you ask for?
They are also the perfect shoes for kids. The Croslite material can easily be wiped down, which is great considering kids get into everything. Mud. Water. Dirt. Spills. Everything. With Spring and Summer around the corner, Crocs are a staple at our house. Lucas practically lives in his Crocs LOL. We recently received the brand new Crocband Sneak for Kids and we LOVE them. They are basically sneakers made from Croslite so they are just as comfy and easy to clean as regular Crocs only they are sneakers. I think this was a genius idea by Crocs! Lucas loves them and he has already filled them up with Jibbitz....
They look great and there are no laces to tie so that's a big plus in my book!
Buy them at Crocs.com for $34.99.

Last Days of the Renew Your Bath Event at The Home Depot!
I just wanted to give you guys a heads up that The Home Depot Renew Your Bath mega sales event ends on Wednesday! If you've been thinking about updating your bathrooms, now is honestly the time to do it. They have some amazing prices right now on thousands of bath products. Thanks to The Home Depot, I got the chance to update our bathrooms. All of our bathrooms already looked pretty good aesthetically, but they needed some tlc in other areas. I know it's not as fun, but two of our three bathrooms were in dire need of new toilets so that's what we bought--two new toilets LOL. We are still waiting for our plumber to install them, but I know they will be a huge improvement to the old style round ones we currently have.
However, as you guys know, we moved into our current home last Summer and back then we did do some work on our bathrooms and we actually purchased most of it at The Home Depot. So, I thought it would be fun to show you our current master bathroom and the similar products you can get at Home Depot right now along with their sale prices. Here's our bathroom...
To me, it's all in the details. One of the things I most dislike in bathrooms are those standard frameless mirrors that are glued on. For our bathroom, we purchased a framed mirror and hung it right on the wall. Here are some of the selections I saw at our local Home Depot...
If you want to save even more money, try looking outside of the bathroom section as those tend to be more expensive. At my local Home Depot, there was a huge bin of gorgeous framed mirrors for under $30!
Another option is to buy some molding and frame your existing mirror. We did that at our previous home for a huge mirror that was over our bathtub...
Faucets really add to the decor of the bathroom and nowadays you can really find options that are both affordable and very chic. Here is ours...
and, here is a similar option available now at Home Depot for under $100...
Lighting is also extremely important in adding to the decor of your bathroom. I found this 3 Light Bronze Finish vanity light for only $39.97 online at HomeDepot.com!
One of our favorite splurges in our bathroom is the shower head...
I was checking out the ones at Home Depot and I was very pleased with the selection of affordable shower heads...
If you need flooring, check out the prices on the tile...
And, what surprised me the most was the incredible prices on the vanities. Unbelievable prices...some starting at $49!!!
If you're really on a tight budget, check out their section of bathroom redos for under $200...

The Renew Your Bath event at The Home Depot is really spectacular. If you have been even remotely thinking of doing something new to your bathroom, I urge you to at least stop by your local Home Depot and check out the prices and selection. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents Barnum 200, The Greatest Birthday Bash in Circus History {Review}
Last week, Mike, Lucas, & I got the awesome opportunity to see Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey newest show--Barnum 200, The Greatest Birthday Bash in Circus History. We saw it at Philips Arena, but starting on February 24th it will also be at the Gwinnett Arena. We actually took Lucas to the circus for the first time last year and we were a bit disappointed. We didn't have good seats so we could barely see anything and the show wasn't very exciting to us. However, this year's show was incredible. We all loved it!
The show was loaded with all of the amazing stunts and performances that I remember from when I was a kid, but kicked up a notch. For example, they took the tightrope walk to a whole new level. They actually had a guy walk up hill on the rope. Another guy did the same thing only he had a girl standing on his shoulders. Lucas loved this one segment that features two groups of pirates fighting over a treasure chest. They competed in catapult contests against each other. The pirates would catapult up into the air and land standing on someone else’s shoulders. The craziest part was when a pirate catapulted into the air, did several flips, and landed, but was wearing long stilts (yes stilts) the entire time. They had the elephants of course and the tigers. But they also had a number of other animals like dogs, ponies, and alpacas.
My favorite part was the trapeze performers. They were flying all over the place. For their final trick they attempted a quadruple somersault which they just barely missed. They got back up and kept on performing though. They were wonderful!
Mike’s favorite part was also another favorite of mine & Lucas’--the motorcycle sphere.
This truly dangerous stunt is performed by the Torres family. It is a classic at the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Motorcycles drive all around inside of a very small sphere cage missing each other by inches. I have seen this stunt before, but not with 7 motorcycles! Everyone around us--including us--literally watched this stunt with our jaws to the floor. It was awesome!
The only complaint I really have is the cost of food and circus themed keepsakes. The food at Philips Arena is typical stadium prices (though they have a free refill soda cup that’s just $5.50), but the prices by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey for the popcorn, cotton candy, and circus paraphernalia is pretty high so be prepared. Beyond that though, the show was truly spectacular. Lucas had so much fun that he's still talking about it. In fact, when we got home right after the circus, he went straight to his toy box to get his microphone, put on his new circus hat, and started to pretend he was the circus ringmaster. So cute! This year Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey has completely lived up to their slogan “The Greatest Show on Earth”.
“Torres Family’s Globe of Steel”
About Barnum 200: Step right up and see the Flying Caceres attempt to complete the elusive quadruple somersault on the flying trapeze; a feat that hasn’t been mastered in over three decades. Watch the Puyang troupe from China dazzle with a stunning display of dexterity as they bounce, flip, and twirl to new heights on a two-tiered trampoline. Be amazed as you witness the impossible contortions of the body benders who fit three humans in a cube the size of a milk crate. Enjoy the wondrous ability of the Mighty Meetal, the strongest man in the world, as he lifts over 1,200 pounds. And savor the stupendous skills of the hand balancers featuring Duo Fusion, a married pair of performers with a twist; the wife does the heavy lifting.
Tickets for Barnum’s 200 are on sale now and are available through www.Ringling.com, Ticketmaster, Philips Arena or the Gwinnett Arena box office. Tickets are $14, $22, $28, $35 ($35 tickets are only at Philips) and a limited number of Circus Celebrity, VIP and Front Row tickets.
