"Here's Hope" to End Child Hunger in the U.S. #childhunger

Tuesday, March 06, 2012 Posted by Piera Jolly

I am thrilled to announce that ConAgra Foods and Feeding America are continuing their Child Hunger Ends Here initiative so make sure start looking for the red push pin on all participating products at your local grocery store! I'm actually headed to Los Angeles today to help ConAgra and Feeding America continue their longstanding efforts to not only raise awareness surrounding child hunger in our own country, but to actually get food to the kids that are in need. I will be joined by three fabulous ladies -- Rachel Matthews from A Southern Fairytale, Linsey Knerl from Lille Punkin, and Kasey Trenum from Time 2 Save.

CHILD HUNGER ENDS HERE! BLOGGER CORRESPONDENT

What's especially cool about this year's Child Hunger Ends Here initiative is that Jewel (love her!), Owl City, and Jay Sean have all joined the cause and have each recorded an original song called, "Here's Hope" written by Hunter Hayes, Luke Laird and Barry Dean. It is a beautiful song that speaks to how we CAN do something to help the issue of child hunger and that there is HOPE.

I'll fill you in all of the details of the trip when I get back, but in the meantime don't forget to start looking for the red push pin on the following brands:
  1. Banquet
  2. Chef Boyardee
  3. Healthy Choice
  4. Hunt’s
  5. Marie Callender’s
  6. Manwich
  7. Orville Redenbacher’s
  8. Peter Pan
  9. Snack Pack
To participate, purchase one of the products above and then visit www.ChildHungerEndsHere.com to enter the eight-digit code found on specially marked packages. Make sure that you look for the ones that have the red push pin! For each code entered, the equivalent of one meal will be donated to Feeding America. Codes can be redeemed through August 2012. In return for entering a code from specially marked packages, you'll be able to download your favorite version of “Here’s Hope” from Jewel, Owl City and Jay Sean. Pretty cool, huh?!
