A fun activity to do with the kids this year is to make magic reindeer food that can be sprinkled on the yard on Christmas Eve. The sparkle will draw the reindeer to your house on Christmas Eve.

Reindeer Food

Making it is super easy! Lucas and I made a large batch using Kellogg’s All Bran Flakes so that we could pass them out to all of the cousins before Christmas.

  • 1/4 cup red or green sugar crystals
  • 1/4 cup Christmas sprinkles

Baseball Snack and Goody Bag Ideas & Free Printable

Disclosure 1Tracking Pixel

Spring baseball is in full swing and we are soaking up every glorious moment at the ball field with Lucas and his PeeWee baseball team. There’s nothing like spending a breezy, sunny afternoon on the ball field. Win or lose…I just love watching my kid play. His intensity and passion for the game is truly inspiring.

While we always do some sort of end-of-year party with goody bags for the team, I also like to bring a special snack for the kids at some point during the season. It’s a fun way of recognizing the kids efforts and hard work throughout the season!

Baseball Goody Bag Ideas

The snacks don’t have to be difficult, but they do have to be yummy! We like to include Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies Treats® – these are a classic treat beloved by kids and adults. More Printable Valentine’s Day Cards!

This is not actually the kids card that Lucas will be passing out to friends this year – I’ll be sharing that with you tomorrow. In the meantime, also make sure to check out last year’s Free Printable Valentine’s Day cards – Free Printable Kid’s Valentine’s Day Cards: I “WHEELIE” Like you (perfect for boys) and the Free Printable: Teacher’s “Thanks a LATTE” Valentine’s Day Card.

Free Printable Kid’s Valentine’s Day Cards: I “WHEELIE” Like you!

I am so excited because now that Lucas is in school we get to do fun things like make our own Valentine’s Day cards! Lucas’ school does not allow candy type treats to be exchanged on Valentine’s Day so we had to get creative and come up with something fun that was NOT candy. Hence, the “I Wheelie Like You” Valentine’s Day card was born…

I Wheelie Like You Valentine's Day Cards 2

I designed the card and then attached a Hot Wheels or Matchbox car directly to the card. These cards are perfect for little boys! Of course, I am sharing the card and instructions with you today!

What You’ll Need:

I Wheelie Like You Free Printable
Small Toy Car
Heavy Cardstock
Paper Cutter
Embroidery Thread (or equally heavy duty thread)
Double sided tape
Scotch tape

1. Print out the “I Wheelie Like You” card on heavy cardstock. I designed these to be 5×7 cards so you can print two to a page.

Boys Valentine's Day Cards

2. Cut them out using a paper cutter (or scissors if you don’t have one).

3. Thread a needle with embroidery thread or another heavy duty thread. Attach the car to the card using the needle and thread. I specifically bought toy cars that had an opening – through the window – so that I could easily pass the needle and thread through the opening.

4. Flip the card over, tie the thread into a secure knot, and cover with a small piece of Scotch tape to further secure.

5. At this point, I realized that the car needed to be secured a little more so we decided to add a small piece of double-sided tape to the underside of the car.

Hope your kiddos enjoy! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Making Memories Around the Breakfast Table: FREE Family Conversation Starters Printables

Disclosure 1

One of the things that I have learned from being a parent over the past few years is that quality time is not synonymous with length of time spent with your kids. Quality time can come in short spurts throughout the day. Those ten minutes spent on the back porch eating an ice cream cone after dinner. Those five minutes spent talking about your day right before bed. Those ten minutes spent reading a book together. Those ten minutes spent talking on your way to and from school. Those twenty minutes spent talking at the dinner table or even the breakfast table. Breakfast time is a perfect time to catch up with your kids, learn more about one another, and prepare for the day. It’s these little moments that turn into memories that will last a lifetime.

Every day is truly a BIG day.

So today, I wanted to share with you a set of printable conversation starters that I created. Hopefully, you can use them to kick-start some fun conversations in the morning with your family.

Bowling Birthday Party FREE Invitation & Party Printables

As promised, today I want to share with you all of the printables I designed for Lucas’ bowling birthday party. Just follow the directions to download!

Bowling Birthday Party Invitation

Bowling Birthday Party Invitation

I wanted you to be able to customize the invitation and I’ve had trouble sharing as a editable doc because not everyone has the same software that I used to create. I decided the easiest way was to provide the file as a jpeg image. All you do to personalize and add your specific child’s party information is:

  1. Upload the image to PicMonkey (it’s FREE – you don’t even need an account).
  2. Click on the Text option on the left.
  3. Click Add Text, choose your font (see font information below), and simply type in the party information.
    — Font #1: (Color) 7f7f7f (Type) Quicksand
    — Font #2: (Color) Black (Type) Budmo Jiggler
  4. Save the image in the highest resolution.
  5. Open from your computer and print either 5×7 or 4×6. Easy peasy!

Download the Invitation by right-clicking on the image below and saving to your computer:

Bowling Birthday Party Centerpieces

To make these centerpieces, print and cut out the templates. Using simple scotch tape, attach a wooden dowel (or skewer) on the back of the cut-out template. I wanted these to have a pretty backside as well so I backed the “Strike” template with red card stock. With the bowling pins (because the shape is symmetrical) I was able to just glue another bowling pin on the back.

Cowboy Birthday Party: FREE Printable Birthday Banner

Cowboy Birthday Banner FINAL

As you know, Lucas’ 5th birthday party was cowboy-themed and I’ve been sharing all of the printables from his party. The final in the series is the Cowboy Happy Birthday Banner. You can print four letters to an 8.5×11 sheet of paper. I used a natural color paper, cut out the letters and backed onto a piece of red cardstock. I then attached each letter onto a long piece of rope (see picture below).

Cowboy Birthday Banner 2

Turned out really cute! Feel free to use this for your own cowboy birthdays. You could even use it for a little girl’s party – maybe use pink paper as the backing and it would be perfect!
