NYX Cosmetics for the Goddess in You!

A couple of months ago, I was out to lunch with a friend when she told me about some new makeup she had purchased by NYX Cosmetics. Actually, what really happened is that I told her that her eye makeup looked fabulous and I demanded to know what she was wearing-lol!
After a bit of research, I learned that NYX Cosmetics is headquartered in Los Angles and has been around since 1999. They were founded by a young entrepreneur name Toni Ko who has been involved in color cosmetics since she was a teenager. It is also one of the fastest growing cosmetics companies in the US. At NYX, their mission is to provide women with high quality makeup at an affordable price. You’ve got to love that! Also, one cool little tidbit of information is that NYX is actually named after a Greek Goddess and is pronounced niks.

Recently, I had the awesome opportunity to try out NYX cosmetics. They very generously sent me a wide variety of products to try. I was able to test the Sheer Lip Gloss, Magic Wand Concealer, Jar Concealer, Stick Concealer, Trio Eye Shadow, Mosaic Powder Blush, Highlight and Contour, and Twin Cake Powder.

After trying out all of the products, I honestly can only rave about them! I love the Twin Cake Powder. I put it on in the morning and by the evening; I still had a flawless face. It is a foundation, powder, and concealer all-in-one. It really works too and you can buy it for $14. I have large pores and the Twin Cake Powder covered all of my facial imperfections flawlessly WITHOUT a caked on look. It went on smooth and looked totally natural. I also love the Highlight and Contour, which allows you to accentuate and sculpt your features. It can be used on any part of your body. The Sheer Lip Gloss has a brush applicator and goes on like a dream. It is not sticky at all, which is one of my pet peeves when it comes to lip gloss. I LOVE the Mosaic Powder Blush because it is a multi-purpose product. It can be used as blush, bronzer, or eye shadow. And, I have officially found a Holy Grail concealer in NYX’s Jar Concealer! I inherited dark circles under my eyes and it is very difficult to find a concealer that works. Well, the jar concealer did the trick fabulously and it is only $5! In fact, most of their products range from $5 to $14.

Overall, I have to give NYX an enthusiastic thumbs up for creating excellent quality makeup at a price that I can afford!
