For a fun, rainy afternoon activity that kids will love – try making some flubber! It is easy to make and more importantly – it is fun to play with! Flubber has the most unique texture too. It is ooey gooey, slimey and cool to the touch while still remaining relatively stick free.
If you do get it on something, vinegar will completely dissolve it. As you can see from the pictures below, Lucas pretty much looooovvvvves Flubber! The batch he’s playing with in the pictures, he actually made at Science Summer Camp and has been playing with it ever since.
How To Make Flubber
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 cups elmer white glue
1 1/3 cups warm water
3 teaspoons borax
Mix together 1 1/2 cups warm water, white glue and a few drops of food coloring into a bowl. In a second bowl, mix together 1 1/3 cups of warm water and Borax. Combine the Borax mixture and the glue mixture. Mix. Store in an air tight container or sealable bag for up to 2-3 weeks.
