Spanish for Children the Fun Way! Boca Beth Review and Giveaway

Many of you may already know that I speak both Spanish and English. Spanish was actually my first language and my parents fought hard for me to retain it as I was growing up. Today, I am very thankful that they were very strict about this. Spanish has helped me throughout my life-in school, work, understanding other cultures, and so much more.

Now, I am married to my wonderful husband, Mike, who doesn’t speak a lick of Spanish-LOL! We ONLY speak English in our house and I desperately want Lucas to speak Spanish as well. I want him to reap the benefits too. There are so many studies that show the positive impact that learning a second language has on children. For example, bilingual children read earlier than monolingual children and they score higher on language tests. There is also a very short window of opportunity for a child to learn another language. The younger they are the less self-conscious they are about learning something new so the earlier you start, the better. As a result, I always keep my eyes peeled for children’s products that teach Spanish. When I came across Boca Beth’s award winning language series, I was so excited!

Beth Butler, also known as Boca Beth , is the founder of this really fun language series. Beth is a teacher herself and has lived in Mexico and Chile, which is where her love for Spanish as a second language began.

The Boca Beth language learning series is a fun, interactive way for children to learn Spanish. Boca Beth makes learning Spanish fun by incorporating music and movement to engage children. She also gives parents and teachers a wide array of tools that will help engage children even more such as puppets, musical shakers, DVD’s, and activity books. What is really wonderful about the learning series is that it is a BILINGUAL program meaning that Spanish and English are taught side-by-side. I love this because it makes it much easier for children to learn and Spanish speaking children can learn English!

I received the My First Songs in Spanish CD along with an adorable maraca. From the moment I pressed PLAY on the CD player, Lucas was engaged by the music. He runs around the room laughing when I play the CD for him. He totally loves it and hums to the music! He’s not speaking Spanish yet, but he can barely speak any language-LOL. He’s only 17 months old, but the music definitely keeps him engaged and I can tell that the fun repetitions in both Spanish and English will have him speaking Spanish soon.

The Boca Beth learning series is really a must-have for children. It will give them a head-start in education and expose them to a new culture. As parents, it can feel intimidating to try to teach your child a second language that you do not know. With the Boca Beth learning series, you don’t have to worry because it is designed in a way that you can feel comfortable participating with your child. Who knows, maybe you’ll even learn a little Spanish! You can purchase the Boca Beth learning series products directly from the Boca Beth website.
